What I Wore In South Of France

Hey aunties, I just got back from an enviable trip to the South of France. It was everything I imagined it to be plus more! You can read my all about the parts that I visited here. Believe it or not, I packed very light and everything fit in y carry on bag. My trip was a very short 4 days and here’s what I wore.

I knew I wanted to visit Menton, a city with vibrant earth tone colors. I picked up this dress from the H&M X Richard Allan collection. Most of the collection have a retro nostalgic 60’s/70’s feel to it. I decided to keep the theme going with these white round toe boots that I purchased from a Kenneth Cole sample sale (style name Alyssa, but sold out). Since I was a France, I had to accessorize with a beret lol.

Here I am in the luxe city of Monte-Carlo. I wanted to appear as though I’m a local and not a tourist, calmly living my best rich aunt life. Of course looking the part has little to do with the amount of money you spent and more of how you put items together and the quality of those items. Can you believe I purchased this skirt from Bloomingdales for $8, marked down from $68? My shirt is from shopakira.com, get it here. I love the lace and ruffles combo that is sure to make a statement anywhere it is worn. My shoes are some old Alexander Wang heel (style name Simona), Saint Laurent pyramid bag, skinny shades and god accessories. Some items are sold out so I have linked similar items to complete this look.

The beaches in St. Tropez called for a simple but bold swimsuit. I wore a Gucci swimsuit that can be worn as a bodysuit with jeans as well, with a matching monogram Gucci visor. The visor is sold out but I had linked alternative options.

Dinner in Cannes was a memorable one. I wore a vintage Anne Klein multicolor blazer that was thrifted many years ago. I wore this blazer as a dress with some lycra thigh highs I found for $10 at a store that was going out of business. Y’all know I love a cheap steal. These are dupe to the Balenciaga knife boot that costs damn near a thousand dollars. I wore an old Gucci wallet on chain Betty bag to complete the look.
