Movie with a view

Throughout the summer Brooklyn Bridge Park have been hosting  “Movie with a View”. The title tells all. It’s like a drive-in movie theater except without cars, because how would that even happen in NYC? Lol. It is on the lawn, where you ca bring a blanket and have a nice picnic (no alcohol or chairs allowed) and enjoy a movie along with the skyline of Manhattan. I had a sandwich, juice and snacks. Did I mention that it was FREE?! Finding free things to do in this city is a true gem we should enjoy.

There are security guards that check bags before entering and are scattered around the park to ensure safety. The movie starts once the sun is down and the sky is completely dark. The movie of choice this week voted by us, the viewers, was “Big” with Tom Hanks. You can view the movie of the week by going to their website. This will eliminate wasting your time seeing a movie that doesn’t interested you. I have seen this movie countless time and was happy to see it again. It’s crazy to know this movie came out in 1988, before I was born and can still be enjoyed today

I wont give away much in case you’ve never saw this movie. I will say it was alllllll of our dreams as a kid to be “Big”. It’s about a kid who finally got the wish of his dreams. Movie with a view was a dope free experience and fun thing to do during the summer that isn’t the norm. I hope it returns next year.
